Mr. Collins served as the President of the New York Mercantile Exchange (then the largest commodities exchange in the world) from 2001-2004. During that time, he led NYMEX to an initial S & P credit rating of A++, its recognition by Energy Risk magazine as the 2004 “Exchange of the Year” and its creation of Clearport Clearing,
the first commercially successful OTC clearing platform. Mr. Collins also founded MotherRock: a $500,000,000 hedge fund specializing in energy derivatives trading, which closed in 2007. In 2008, in partnership with NASDAQ, Mr. Collins was also a founding partner in a new clearinghouse: the International Derivatives Clearing Group (IDCG), which was recently sold to LCH Clearnet. Before leading NYMEX, Mr. Collins served as Senior Vice President at El Paso Merchant Energy, where he was the head derivatives trader in natural gas and led the trading team to earn more than $1,000,000,000 in annual revenue. He has also served as an options market maker on the trading floor at NYMEX and worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. leadership roles, including the firm’s new business review committee and as a Director for FCStone LLC (a registered U.S. Futures Commission Merchant) and INTL FCStone Markets (the first non-bank swap dealer registered with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission). Prior to INTL FCStone Inc., Ms. Carson spent more than 15 years in private practice, including as a partner at Sidley & Austin, focusing on futures and securities regulation, trial and appellate litigation. Ms. Carson received her Juris Doctor degree with honors from NYU School of Law, and her B.A. with honors in Political Science from University of Wyoming. Ms. McClaine has over 13 years of experience in providing finance, accounting and audit services to public and private companies with a concentration in the oil services industry. Prior to joining Lone Star Capital, she served as a North America Controller at Schlumberger for five years, during both steep growth and down cycles,
providing fiscal oversight for the company’s $400 million (per annum) Drilling & Measurements and Geoservices offshore operations. She also served in Analyst and Audit positions at Baker Hughes and Transocean, where she led teams on international audit projects focused on minimizing enterprise risk and ensuring compliance with various policies and standards. Ms. McClaine started her career in public accounting at Ernst & Young, conducting financial audits for large and mid-size companies in Houston, Texas. She has traveled to over 30 countries on six continents to audit financial statements and internal controls of foreign business units and investigate activities related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Ms. McClaine has earned two Master’s degrees, including an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, and a Master’s in International Business from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in Canada. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, she completed her Bachelor’s in Accounting at Dillard University.
